ICRC representatives meet with Armenian soldier who crossed into Azerbaijani territory
Representatives of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) Baku Office on Monday visited Armenian contract serviceman Andranik Grigoryan who had crossed into Azerbaijan-controlled territory on March 22, Zara Amatuni, Communication Manager at the ICRC Yerevan Office, told Panorama.am.
She said that ICRC representatives talked to the serviceman and exchanged information related to his family. She gave no other details.
At about 1:50 pm on March 22 contract serviceman Andranik Grigoryan deserted his position, at a military unit in the eastern direction of the Nagorno-Karabakh Defense Army, and crossed into the territory of Azerbaijan. A criminal case was opened.
