Yerevan pupils’ honor guards mission at Tsitsernakaberd launches
Within the framework of the Armenian Genocide centennial commemorations, honor guards mission of Yerevan schoolchildren at the Armenian Genocide Memorial Tsitsernakaberd launched today.
According to the press service of Armenian Education and Science Ministry, students of Yerevan school No. 42 will be the first to stand honor guards at the Eternal Flame at the Armenian Genocide Memorial.
Education and Science Minister Armen Ashotyan told reporters that the Ministry was behind this initiative.
“From April 1-23, between 10:00am and 6:00pm, students will take turns to commemorate the Genocide victims,” he said, adding that the initiative was welcomed by all schools.
