Armenia’s exports declined by about 25 percent – Vazgen Safaryan
Armenia’s exports have declined by about 25 percent and imports by 26 percent, and this is a cause for concern, Vazgen Safaryan, head of the Union of Native Producers of Armenia, told a news conference on Thursday.
According to him, this situation is due to the depreciation of the Russian ruble.
“Our union together with the Public Council has initiated measures to find ways out of this situation. A meeting will be held tomorrow with the participation of Armenian businessmen to discuss matters related to tax and credit sectors,” Safaryan said, adding that subsequently, all the views will be presented to the government and, if necessary, also to the President.
