Armenian chess players at Aeroflot Open
22-year-old Armenian IM Vahe Baghdasaryan took first prize in Tournament B of the Aeroflot Open chess tournament held in Moscow. Baghdasaryan scored 6.5 points out of 9 and fulfilled a grandmaster norm for the fourth time.
GM Tigran Kotanjian had the same results, but he took 6th place with additional points.
In Tournament C, Boris Ofitserian and Artur Gharagyozyan shared 1st-7th places with 6.5 points each. Ofitserian took 3rd and Gharagyozyan 4th place with additional points.
In Tournament A, GMs Hovhannes Gabuzyan and Tigran L. Petrosian scored 5 and 4.5 points correspondingly.
GM Ian Nepomniachtchi (Russia) became the winner with 7 points, armchess.am reports.
