Members of Constituent Parliament taken to police
Measures have been taken to prevent mass disorders in Armenia on April 24.
Zhirayr Sefilyan, coordinator of Constituent Parliament secretariat, as well as members of Constituent Parliament Varuzhan Avetisyan, Toros Sefilyan and Pavel Manukyan were taken to police this morning, according to the press service of Constituent Parliament.
Hovhannes Ghazaryan, a member of Constituent Parliament, was also taken to police in Vanadzor city.
Armenia’s Investigation Committee issued a statement saying that the National Security Service and the Investigation Committee acted jointly to prevent mass disorders at sites of public events on April 24.
A criminal case was opened under Article 35-225 of the Criminal Code (preparation of crime). An investigation is underway.
