Hundreds of protesters outside Ukrainian parliament demand resignation of PM Yatsenyuk
A hundreds-strong picket staged outside the building of the Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada demands the resignation of Ukrainian Prime Minister Areseniy Yatsenyuk. Around 700 pickets belonging to "Svoboda" and Right Sector nationalist parties have been protesting outside the Rada building, TASS reported from the scene.
Around 20 tents put up by the protesters have a slogan displayed on one of the tents — "Interim investigation commission against the corrupt government."
Protesters have been chanting slogans which condemn the politics of the corrupt government and call for the resignation of MP Arseny Yatsenyuk. Most protests are linked to a recent resolution to sharply raise tariffs for power supply and public utilities services for the population, which was adopted by the Ukrainian government.
A few armored vehicles for transportation of prisoners remain outside the Rada building.
