Holy Mass in memory of Armenian Genocide victims in Madrid
Archbishop of Madrid Carlos Osoro Sierra celebrated a Holy Mass in memory of the innocent victims of the Armenian Genocide at Almudena Cathedral, the press service of Armenian Foreign Ministry reports.
The Mass was attended by members of the Spanish Congress and Senate, top officials from the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, diplomats, representatives of the intelligentsia, journalists, and representatives of the local Armenian community.
In his remarks, Archbishop Carlos Osoro Sierra noted that the Mass is dedicated to the tragedy and infernal sufferings of the Armenians. He stressed that the current situation in the Middle East and other hot spots of the world is a result of indifference and criminal silence.
