Armenian Genocide centennial Mass in Vatican was universal event – expert
The Holy Mass dedicated to Armenian Genocide centenary in the Vatican was a universal and all-Christian event, political analyst Alexander Iskandaryan said on Wednesday.
“This was a greater event than recognition of the Genocide by a country leader. This was a universal and all-Christian development,” Iskandaryan told reporters.
According to the expert, the Pope is a global leader, and he made the Armenian culture, cultural heritage and church equal to the world heritage, and presented Armenia as homeland of Christianity.
“This event is even deeper than a message issued ahead of April 24. The Pope placed the Armenian Genocide into the global Christian history,” the expert stressed.
