Kim Kardashian and Kanye West make Time magazine's 100 most influential people list
It's official - Time magazine says that Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are among the 100 Most Influential People in the world, the Daily Mail reports.
The publication included them both individually as 'Titans' and put Kanye, 37, on one of five special covers for the Thursday April 16 issue.
And none other than Martha Stewart waxes lyrical about Kim, 34, dubbed 'the first lady of #fame,' describing her as 'beautiful in an exotic, totally exaggerated way.'
Stewart, president of Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia, concludes that behind the media phenomenon that is Kim Kardashian is a woman who 'exudes energy, sexuality, drama, determination, impetuousness and happiness.'
'The Kardashians are a totally modern construct. They are a blended family, of Armenian descent, with biracial pairings (Kim is married to Kanye West) and a reportedly transgender parent. They work hard, and they stick together through thick and thin,' writes Stewart.
Kanye leads the list of Time's 'Titans' with the publication describing him as a 'boundary breaker.'
Elon Musk, the founder of SpaceX and Tesla, was selected to write about the rapper's influence and says: 'Kanye West would be the first person to tell you he belongs on this list. The dude doesn’t believe in false modesty, and he shouldn’t.'
Musk points to the hip hop star's belief in himself and his tenacity, and the fact he doesn't care about being ridiculed or judged.
'Kanye’s been playing the long game all along, and we’re only just beginning to see why,' Musk says.
