Military vehicle crash: Three soldiers remain in critical condition
Three soldiers remain in critical condition after Armenian Defense Ministry’s Ural vehicle turned over and fell into the ravine on the Spitak-Yerevan highway on Friday, Armenian Defense Ministry spokesman Artsrun Hovhannisyan told Panorama.am, adding that their condition is stable.
The spokesman noted that there may be a need for medical intervention.
The soldiers are at the Central Clinical Military Hospital.
According to Hovhannisyan, the condition of the other soldiers is normal and some of them have already left the hospital.
An Ural vehicle of Armenian Defense Ministry carrying soldiers overturned and fell into the ravine on the 19th kilometer of the Spitak-Yerevan highway at around 5:00pm on Friday. One serviceman died and eight others were injured.
Armenia’s Investigation Committee has opened a criminal case in connection with the crash under Article 377 Part 2 of the Criminal Code (violation of rules of vehicle operation resulting in death by negligence).
