Azerbaijan’s aim to oust Armenians from Artsakh is another attempt of genocide - Caroline Cox
Yerevan is the only place where I want to be in these days, Baroness Caroline Cox, a member of the British House of Lords, said at the International Social and Political Global Forum against the Crime of Genocide which is taking place in Yerevan.
“I applaud those governments that have recognized the Armenian Genocide. I bow before Pope Francis for his powerful statement which is addressed to all of us,” she said.
In her words, the recognition of the Armenian Genocide is in the interests of the Turkish people. The Baroness stressed that it is necessary to fight against those who deny the Armenian Genocide.
Azerbaijan’s aim to oust the Armenians from their historical homeland, Artsakh, is another attempt of genocide, Caroline Cox stressed.
“Regrettably, Azerbaijan continues to threaten and kill. It is important to hold Azerbaijan accountable for the massacres and ethnic cleansings it has committed,” she said.
“God bless this wonderful people,” Caroline Cox said, concluding her speech.
