Zdeněk Škromach: 100 years ago, an entire nation was almost erased from earth
“The Armenian nation is small, but it is a proud nation. Today we stand by the Armenian nation. One hundred years ago, an entire nation was almost erased from the earth, an old nation that had lived on that territory for more than two and a half thousand years,” Zdeněk Škromach, Vice President of the Senate of the Czech Parliament, stated at the International Social and Political Global Forum against the Crime of Genocide.
He stressed that it is necessary to learn lessons from history so that such crimes will not recur in the future.
“It is necessary to speak about this crime and fight against it in order to prevent future genocides. It is the parliamentarians who must speak against injustice,” Mr Škromach stressed.
