Mikhayelov: Assyrians from around world came to Tsitsernakaberd
"We all remember and demand. Today the Assyrians not only from Armenia but also from other countries have arrived to pay tribute to the memory of the innocent victims," Arsen Mikhayelov, the chairman of the Assyrian Association in Armenia, told Panorama.am.
He said that after the Parliament of Armenia adopted a statement regarding the genocide of the Assyrians and Greeks in March of the current year, his compatriots living all over the world got encouraged and continue their struggle more actively.
Mikhayelov said that the genocide of the Assyrians is still going on. The recognition of the Armenian Genocide by various countries and organizations has given a hope to the Assyrians.
