Russian State Duma adopts statement on Armenian Genocide centenary
The Russian State Duma on Friday adopted a statement on the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, RIA Novosti reports.
“The State Duma extends its deep condolences to fraternal Armenia in connection with the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide as well as to other nations that suffered during the tragic events in the course of World War I. It considers that the complicated matters of history and the international disputes need to be settled by peaceful means, including diplomatic efforts, for the sake of establishing strong peace and security on the planet,” the statement said, in part.
