Ten young people from Artsakh make pilgrimage to Tsitsernakaberd
Exactly ten days ago, ten youths from Artsakh’s Chapar village, Martakert region, set off on a trip, on foot, to the Armenian Genocide Memorial Tsitsernakaberd in Yerevan.
From April 14-24, they traveled about 450 km, passing through Chapar, Stepanakert, Lachin, Yeghegnadzor and Etchmiadzin.
“There were difficulties on our way, but we overcame them and achieved our aim. We preferred to get to this hill on foot and pay our tribute to the innocent victims of the Armenian Genocide,” a member of Union of Armenian Friends NGO told Panorama.am.
12-year-old Tigran, one of the Artsakh youths, said, “Getting here, I felt great enthusiasm – we achieved our aim.”
