Haykakan Zhamanak: Central Banks of Armenia and Russia released different data
According to the data released by the Central Bank of Russia, the private remittances that were sent from Russia to Armenia in 2014 via the banking system amounted to 1 billion 752 million dollars, Haykakan Zhamanak reports.
Armenia is 6th among the CIS countries in the amount of transfers from Russia. Uzbekistan is first (5.8 billion dollars), followed by Tajikistan (3.6 billion), Kazakhstan and Ukraine (2.1 billion), and Moldova (1.8 billion). Azerbaijan is in 7th place (1.3 billion).
It is noteworthy that the data of the Central Bank of Russia do not match the data of the Central Bank of Armenia, according to which in 2014 the remittances from Russia to Armenia amounted to 1.5 billion dollars.
