Zhoghovurd: Coalition not formed due to disagreements over ministerial portfolios
Rumors have been persisting recently about the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) and ARF Dashnaktsutyun forming a coalition. The two parties do not deny such a possibility. However, the coalition is not formed, Zhoghovurd writes.
According to the newspaper, this is due to the disagreements over ministerial portfolios to be given to ARFD. RPA is willing to give ARFD the positions of ministers of agriculture, education and science, labor and social affairs.
“However, ARFD thinks that these positions are absolutely nothing and wants to get other posts, including the positions of minister of energy and natural resources, economy, and transport and communication. It seems RPA has given consent on the first two positions and it only remains to decide on the position of minister of transport and communication,” Zhoghovurd says.
