Mexican mayoral candidate killed
Mexican city Chilapa de Alvarez’ mayoral candidate, Ulises Fabián Quiroz, was killed by unknown gunmen on Friday, SDP Noticias radio station reported, according to Sputnik.
Quiroz, member of the ruling Institutional Revolutionary Party, was reportedly riding a car together with attendants, when the car was stopped by gunmen.

The city of Chilapa de Alvarez is located in the Mexican state of Guerrero. Battles between various criminal organizations and drug gangs often take place in Guerrero, making it one of the most dangerous states in Mexico.
