Suspicious package found in Indonesian Embassy in Australia
The Indonesian Embassy in Canberra, the Australian capital has been in lockdown with staff movements restricted after the receipt of a suspicious package, reportedly containing white powder, local media says, according to Sputnik.
According to police officials at the scene, the package (a letter with white powder) was found in the mail room at the embassy and is currently sent to ACT Pathology at Canberra Hospital for analysis.
The case occurred the week after the execution of Australian drug traffickers in Indonesia.
Two hazardous materials vans and two fire trucks were earlier stationed outside the embassy on Darwin Avenue, which was closed to traffic.
