Russian observer calls on UN to recognize elections in Artsakh
The parliamentary elections that were held in Artsakh on May 3 corresponded to all the requirements of the country’s updated Electoral Code and were held in compliance with international norms, member of the Russian observation mission at the elections, political analyst Viktor Sheynis told reporters in Stepanakert.
In his words, there was equal political competition. “The entire electoral process was transparent,” Sheynis noted.
He stressed that the Russian observers recognize the elections as legitimate and corresponding to the NKR Electoral Code and international norms.
Also, Sheynis called on the UN to recognize the elections in Artsakh.
