Armenian President meets with James Warlick in Washington
Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan has met with U.S. Co-Chair of the OSCE Minsk Group James Warlick in Washington, according to a Twitter post by James Warlick.
“I was pleased to welcome the President of #Armenia to my home city of #Washington. We were able to talk this evening about #NKpeace,” Warlick tweeted.
According to the presidential press service, from 5 to 7 May, President Serzh Sargsyan will pay a working visit to the United States.
The Armenian President will hold meetings in the Senate.
The President will visit the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. He will also visit the Library of Congress to familiarize himself with the library’s Armenian exhibits.
As part of his visit, the Armenian President will be hosted at the office of the Washington Post newspaper and will hold a meeting with its editorial board.
In Washington, several meetings will be held with heads of Armenian organizations and representatives of the Armenian-American community.
On May 7, at Washington National Cathedral, President Serzh Sargsyan will take part in an interreligious prayer devoted to the Armenian Genocide and will deliver an address.
