Armenia is prepared to host children from Aleppo – PM Abrahamyan
Armenia is prepared to host Armenian children and schoolchildren from Syria’s Aleppo, Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan stated on Thursday.
The Prime Minister spoke about the situation in Syria and noted that Armenia has tried to assist the Syrian Armenians who had to flee their homes due to the ongoing conflict and settle in Armenia.
The PM noted that after the recent shelling of Aleppo’s Suleymaniye district he expressed readiness on behalf of the government to host the schoolchildren from Aleppo and create proper conditions for them.
Mr Abrahamyan added that at the next cabinet meeting Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan will present the Ministry’s current efforts and challenges regarding hosting Armenian children from Syria.
