Galust Sahakyan: Our soldiers successfully defend our borders now as well
Our people must be proud as we achieved victory in the Artsakh War. This lies in our genes and our soldiers successfully defend our borders now as well, Armenian National Assembly Speaker Galust Sahakyan told reporters, speaking about the Triple Holiday – Victory Day, the Day of the NKR Defense Army and the Liberation of Shoushi – while attending Victory Day celebrations in Yerevan’s Victory Park.
Military parade marking the 70th anniversary of victory in the Great Patriotic War was held in Victory Park today.
Prior to the parade, the senior representatives of Armenian Armed Forces General Headquarters and Russian Armed Forces in Armenia, ambassadors, Great Patriotic War veterans, cultural and public figures visited the Monument to the Unknown Soldier and paid their tributes to the soldiers who were killed during the war.
Also, meal was served to members of Armenian government and ambassadors in military tents put up in Victory Park.
