Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin may demand return of seized property from Turkey
The Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin may also present a legal claim demanding that Turkey return the property confiscated from the church during the years of the Armenian Genocide, His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, told the Voice of America in an interview.
“An instruction has been given and this matter is being studied to reveal the relevant documents. The study of archives, revelation of archival documents and presentation of grounded legal claims, with respective legal formulations, to the Turkish authorities require huge efforts,” Catholicos Karekin II said.
