‘Never Again’ program tells truth about Armenian Genocide in different countries worldwide
I am very happy that the ‘Never Again’ program was approved. Through this program, we want to say to the world that we continue to live and create, and cinematography is the best means for saying it, Golden Apricot International Film Festival’s Founding Director, Harutyun Khachatryan, told reporters on Tuesday.
As part of the ‘Never Again’ program, film screenings were organized in different countries of the world in commemoration of the Armenian Genocide.
“The films were screened in more than 12 cities in 7 countries, among them Belarus, Germany, France, Bulgaria, Lithuania and Turkey,” ‘Never Again’ Program Coordinator Raffi Movsisyan said.
In his words, they took into consideration the political, cultural and artistic peculiarities of each country.
Golden Apricot International Film Festival’s Artistic Director, Susanna Harutyunyan, noted that during these screenings they did not meet any obstacles or provocations. Even in Turkey, all the discussions were open, she said.
“Through this program, we are able to convey our view and our pain to the still small audience and cinematographers, who are ready to listen to us and conduct a dialogue,” she said.
Harutyun Khachatryan noted that the media of the above mentioned countries widely covered the program.
