Hassan Rouhani: Iran and Armenia both benefit from development of their relations
Artashes Tumanyan, the newly appointed Armenian ambassador to Iran, handed his credentials to the IRI President Hassan Rouhani, the official website of the Iranian President reports.
According to the press release, speaking about the perspectives of Armenian-Iranian relations during the meeting with the Armenian ambassador, the President of Iran said, “There is no obstacle in the way of the development of the relations between Iran and Armenia. No doubt that Iran and Armenia both benefit from the bilateral cooperation in the political, economic and cultural areas.”
The Iranian President highlighted that the joint projects should be aspired to be brought to life. Rouhani pointed that Iran and Armenia have gone beyond the bilateral cooperation to effectively cooperate in the international agencies as well.
Hassan Rouhani noted that the Iranian Armenians are law-abiding and active citizens. They have expressed their wish to enlarge the bilateral educational, scientific and tourism cooperation so that the two nations get to know each other better.
The Ambassador Tumanyan in his turn conveyed the Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan’s best regards to Hassan Rouhani and stressed that he will make efforts to strengthen the bilateral cooperation during his office term.
