Conference on Armenian Genocide Centennial in Sao Paulo
On 6-7 May, a conference on the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide was held at the Makenzi Presbyterian University of Sao Paulo, Brazil, during which issues related to the Armenian Genocide centennial events were discussed.
Ambassador of Armenia to Brazil Ashot Galoyan delivered a speech. He attached importance to the activities of the conference, underlining that the represented reports, subsequent questions and speeches expressed their support and condemned the denial of the Armenian Genocide, Armenpress reports, citing the press service of Armenian Foreign Ministry.
On 8 May, Cardinal Dom Pedro Shereri Odilio celebrated a Divine Liturgy devoted to the Centennial of the Armenian Genocide at Sao Paulo's Cathedral.
The primates of the Armenian Church, representatives of the Armenian and Jewish communities, senior officials, state deputies, heads of the diplomatic representations attended the ceremony.
