Education is foundation of civilized society – Icelandic Minister of Education
Europe is faced by numerous challenges and the key to overcome them is education, Illugi Gunnarsson, Minister of Education, Science and Culture of Iceland, stated at the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) Ministerial Conference and Fourth Bologna Policy Forum.
“The Bologna Process has undergone numerous changes during the period of its existence. We know that Europe is faced by numerous challenges: youth unemployment, state debt, low economic growth, etc. Education, science and knowledge are the best resources to help us boost the economic growth,” Gunnarsson said.
Education is the foundation of civilized society, the Minister stressed.
