Electricity price surge to damage Armenian economy – Parliament Speaker
A possible increase in the electricity tariffs will not only hit the pockets of citizens, but also will cause a big damage to the country’s economy, Armenian National Assembly Speaker Galust Sahakyan told a briefing in the parliament.
Mr Sahakyan, however, did not name the exact date of parliamentary hearings on this matter.
“I think that by the end of this week representatives of the Public Services Regulatory Commission will answer the questions of MPs,” he said.
Sahakyan stressed that the increase in the electricity prices must be based on objective calculations.
