People trapped after residential building collapse in China
People remain trapped after a nine-storey residential building collapsed in the city of Guiyang, the capital of the Guizhou province. The number of casualties, if any, is unknown, Sputnik reports.
The apartment block was home to 114 residents, five of whom have been reported missing, according to South China Morning Post.
Rescue workers are currently at the scene looking for survivors of the incident that took place at 11:30 a.m. (3:30 a.m. GMT). They have already managed to pull several people from the ruble.
Nearby buildings have been evacuated following the collapse.
