Armenian Justice Minister notes considerable progress in fight against corruption
The political will is definitely vital in the fight against corruption, Armenian Minister of Justice Hovhannes Manukyan stated during a seminar on the fight against corruption.
“The government has this will and therefore we attach importance to active participation of government agencies and local self-government bodies, media and civil society in this important matter,” said the Minister.
According to Manukyan, in 2014 Armenia registered considerable progress in the fight against corruption. In particular, he said, the Group of States against Corruption (GRECO) noted that Armenia fulfilled all 19 commitments.
At the same time, he stressed, Armenia still has serious work to do in this sector.
