Armenian Ministry of Diaspora attending to problems of Syrian Armenians
The current tasks of Armenian Ministry of Diaspora include organization of summer rest in camps for Syrian Armenian children, payment of apartment rents and provision of medical services to Syrian Armenians, Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan told Panorama.am.
Referring to the capture of the ancient Syrian city of Palmyra by Islamic State militants in light of the fact that Palmyra’s centuries-old remains of temples and other structures are a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Minister said, “I think this issue will be discussed at the international platforms - at the respective agencies of the UN and at UNESCO.”
