National Archives director: Armenian people perceive May 28 as day of victory
The main message of the heroic battles of May was the idea of unity, director of National Archives of Armenia Amatuni Virabyan told a news conference on Thursday.
“The Armenian troops regrouped and launched an offensive. They demonstrated that they are able to fight. Due to these battles, Armenia attained statehood and concluded its first treaty,” he said, adding that the victory of 1918 was a miracle.
“Today the Armenian people perceive May 28 as a day of victory, stressing the idea of unity,” Virabyan added.
