Yerevan to host Puppets for Peace and Intercultural Dialogue campaign
The international campaign Puppets for Peace and Intercultural Dialogue will be held in Armenia on June 1-7 on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of UNESCO, the press service of Armenian Ministry of Culture reports.
The campaign will launch on June 1, International Day for Protection of Children, in Yerevan. On June 3, a ‘Peace Tree’ will be planted in the center of Yerevan, with soil and water brought from five continents.
The events will conclude on September 21, Armenia’s Independence Day and International Peace Day. Festive events will take place in front of the UNESCO headquarters in Paris, in which Armenia will also take part.
