EEU member states discussing new pension agreement – Minister
A new pension agreement is being discussed within the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU), Armenian Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Artem Asatryan stated in parliament on Friday.
His statement came in response to a question from Prosperous Armenia MP Vahan Babayan about the developments in Armenia’s pension system after the country’s accession to the Eurasian Economic Union.
The Minister said that the EEU experts are holding meetings and discussions on this issue. He noted that under the agreement, each country must ensure pension payments for the period citizens worked in its territory. He added that these rules will not apply to military servicemen.
