Armenian National Assembly Speaker Galust Sahakyan issued a congratulatory message on the International Day for Protection of Children.

“Dear children and parents, I congratulate you on the occasion of the International Day for Protection of Children.

In every child there is a piece of Motherland, the destiny of each child is one particle of the Motherland’s destiny, hence the attitude towards a child is an attitude towards the Motherland, and the child’s protection is the protection of the Motherland.

The worship of children and the Motherland are the same phenomena: both of them are special in our heart and consciousness, demanding devotion, love and effort. Seeing the future in the child, we identify it with the country’s future and invest maximum fervor and self-esteem in ensuring more well-off tomorrow that begins from the present and demands from everybody consciousness of children’s right and protection, care and responsibility towards a child. In the children's protection we should not have separation of responsibility, but combining them by all the members of society, where the only interest is the very well-off childhood, the only beneficiaries are children, and finally - the Motherland. Building a well-off country, we create the conditions, where tomorrow's defender, tomorrow's citizen, tomorrow's driving force of the Motherland’s progress will grow up with dignity.

Once again congratulating on the International Day for Protection of Children, I wish you peace, welfare and all the best,” the message said.
