Armenian government approves concept of new Criminal Code
The Armenian government on Thursday approved the concept of the new Criminal Code.
Armenian Minister of Justice Hovhannes Manukyan noted that the Criminal Code of Armenia had numerous shortcomings.
He expressed hope that the new concept will raise the level of criminal and legal protection of human rights, will exclude improper application of criminal and legal norms as well as legal mistakes.
The Minister also said that the concept will ensure the fulfillment of Armenia’s international commitments in this sector.
