Sharmazanov: Parliamentary hearings on electricity price hike may be held on June 12
The parliamentary hearings regarding the electricity price increase are likely to be held on June 12, Deputy Speaker of Armenian National Assembly, spokesman for Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) Eduard Sharmazanov told reporters after the RPA Executive Body meeting on Thursday.
“We consider it right to hold the hearings behind closed doors. I believe that work behind closed doors is more effective,” he said.
At the same time, head of National Assembly press service Arsen Babayan told Panorama.am that no official date has been set for the hearings and it is not clear yet whether the hearings will be held behind closed doors.
