Nairit employees to receive their overdue salaries by July 15
Employees of Nairit chemical plant will get their salary arrears by July 15. Armenian Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Yervand Zakharyan has promised this to the plant’s employees, member of the protests coordinating group Anush Harutyunyan told Panorama.am.
Nairit employees staged a protest outside the government building on Tuesday, demanding a meeting with Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan. They were approached by Minister Yervand Zakharyan and then were received by Mr Abrahamyan.
The Minister was also present at the premier’s meeting with the protesters. They confirmed the promise that the salaries will be paid off by July 15. As regards the reoperation of the plant, they expressed willingness to meet with any investor who would like to relaunch the plant, Harutyuyan said.
