Armenian PM: Electricity tariffs will increase by 6.93 drams
The electricity tariffs will be increased by 6.93 drams rather than by 17 drams, Armenian Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan told reporters at the National Assembly.
“Now we are calculating a possible impact on the country’s economy and population. We will try to support the beneficiaries so that they will not feel that burden,” Mr Abrahamyan said.
Parliamentary hearings on the issue will be held on July 12 and the concerned ministries will provide explanations to the public, the PM said. “We will act transparently to explain to the public what will take place,” he added.
