Labor Minister: Government searching for ways to cushion electricity price hike impact
Armenian Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan has issued an instruction to find mechanisms for mitigating the impact of electricity price hike on vulnerable families, Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Artem Asatryan told reporters after the cabinet meeting.
According to the Minister, the calculations will be made based on the average monthly consumption of electricity.
According to the Public Services Regulatory Commission, on average, one family consumes 200 kWh electricity monthly (180 kWh in summer and 328 kWh in winter).
