Government adopts decision to raise military pensions
The Armenian government adopted a decision to raise military pensions from July 1, 2015.
Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Artem Asatryan told reporters after the cabinet meeting that according to the amendments to the Law on State Pensions, from July 1, 2015 the basic amount of military pension will increase to 16,000 drams from 14,000 drams and the amount of pension for each year of military service will increase to 1,500 drams from 1,300 drams.
“Continuous increase of pensions is among the government’s priorities,” said the Minister, adding that from July 1 they plan to increase military pensions on average by 14 percent.
