Zhoghovurd: Russians against Khachaturov’s resignation
Rumors spread several days ago that Nagorno-Karabakh Defense Army Commander Movses Hakobyan will be appointed to a new position in Armenia in the near future. These rumors, however, were neither confirmed nor refuted, Zhoghovurd writes.
According to the newspaper, initially there were plans to appoint Hakobyan as Chief the General Staff of the Armenian Armed Forces, to replace Colonel General Yuri Khachaturov. But Khachaturov’s Russian colleagues expressed their strong objection to the idea of his resignation, so the issue was left unsolved.
