Infertility decreasing in Armenia thanks to Health Ministry programs
To boost birth rate in Armenia, the government adopted a program on the order of providing medical assistance and services with the use of assisted reproductive technologies on free of charge or preferential terms, and the requirements to the beneficiaries, Gayane Avagyan, Chief Specialist of the Maternal and Reproductive Health Department, Armenian Ministry of Health, told Panorama.am.
In her words, this program helps solve complex problems related to reproductive health.
Ms Avagyan stressed that thanks to the Ministry of Health programs aimed at birth rate stimulation, the infertility rate decreased 2-2.5-fold in the country over the past 15 years.
