Armenia wins first medal at European Games
On June 14, Armenia won its first medal at the European Games in Baku.
Greco-Roman wrestler Mihran Arutyunyan won the silver medal in the 66 kg category. He beat Azerbaijan’s representative to enter the final. In the final, he was defeated by the representative of Russia and took the silver medal, the official website of Armenian Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs reports.
Armenia’s Greco-Roman wrestlers Roman Amoyan and Maxim Manukyan took 5th place at the Games. Karapet Chalyan was defeated in the first round.
