Energy ministry: No problems with getting Russian loan for Metsamor nuclear plant
The process of extending the service life of Armenian (Metsamor) Nuclear Power Plant for 10 years is underway on schedule, according to the press service of Armenian Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources.
There are no problems with getting a $270 million loan and a $30 million grant of the Russian government, the statement notes.
In parallel with documents’ preparation, the first stage of Armenian NPP major repairs – equipment assessment has begun. The work is being done by experts of NPP and Rusatom Service.
