Aram Simonyan re-elected rector of Yerevan State University
Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan who is Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Yerevan State University (YSU) attended today a regular sitting of the YSU Board of Trustees, according to the university’s website.
Election of YSU rector was on the agenda of the sitting. The application of Prof. Aram Simonyan was the only application for participation in the open competition to fill the vacancy of rector of YSU.
Prior to the vote, acting rector Aram Simonyan spoke about the YSU development program and the problems facing the university.
Aram Simonyan has been re-elected as rector of YSU by secret ballot.
