Contract serviceman Arman Yepremyan posthumously awarded Medal for Courage
By a decree of Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan, Armenian contract serviceman Arman Yepremyan who was killed in gunfire opened by the Azerbaijani side Friday, June 26, has been awarded the Medal for Courage for his selflessness and bravery in defending the Fatherland, the presidential press service reports.
Spokesman for Armenian Defense Ministry Artsrun Hovhannisyan earlier wrote on Facebook: “Around 6:30 pm on June 26 the enemy opened heavy fire at Armenian positions in Nakhichevan section of the border, near Gorayk settlement of Armenia’s Syunik province.
Large-caliber guns were also used. The enemy suffered serious casualties after the Armenian side returned fire. Unfortunately, Private Arman Yepremyan, 28, a contract serviceman of the Armenian armed forces, was killed in battle”.
