Finnish professor: I like respectful attitude of Stepanakert ‘Tnjre’ Festival organizers to classical music
The 4th Tnjre Classical Music Festival held in Nagorno Karabakh’s capital of Stepanakert has brought together representatives of Karabakh and 11 countries. Concerts are scheduled in the capital city and regional centers during the festival, according to Caucasian Knot information portal.
The opening ceremony took place in Youth Palace of Stepanakert on June 28, in a hall for 500 spectators.
Teachers from Finland and the Netherlands are conducting master classes for pupils of musical schools as part of the festival. Finnish Professor Grazyna Zeranska-Gebert has conducted violin master classes for students of the local musical college and pupils of Stepanakert musical school. In her words, she is glad to participate in Tnjre Festival once again as she likes the organizers’ respectful attitude to classical music and her work.
“Tnjre Festival aims to assist the development of classical music in Artsakh, help improve the performance of young musicians and students and boost cultural links with musicians of other countries,” Nagorno Karabakh’s Minister of Culture and Youth Affairs Narine Aghabalyan said. The festival will last until July 5.
