Parliament speaker offers condolences to family and friends of Gagik Hovhannisyan
Speaker of Armenia’s National Assembly Galust Sahakyan offered his condolences over the passing of Gagik Hovhannisyan, a chess commentator, Secretary General of the Chess Federation of Armenia, host of ‘Chess-64’ popular TV program, founder and editor-in-chief of ‘Chess Armenia’ magazine, the press service of Armenian parliament said.
“The popular chess programs and comments of G. Hovhannisyan were real lessons for chess players and future reporters who attended his lectures at Department of Journalism at Yerevan State University. He was a witness and chronicler of the contemporary history of Armenian chess, a constant companion of victories of the Armenian national chess team. His reports conveyed great delight of fans from those victories,” the speaker of NA said in particular.
